Wedding at Nita Lake Lodge, Whistler.

Sunday, February 12th, 2012

As a Whistler wedding photographer, I was pretty excited when I received an email from Carly asking me if I would photograph her big day. Carly and I had been in contact for a few months. I could say from our first email exchange that she is one of the most organized brides I have ever worked with. Carly and Shane were married at Nita Lake Lodge, Whistler, one of my favourite wedding locations for sure. Despite rainy and cold weather, we had lots of fun during our photo shoot. Carly designed all the decorations for her wedding and she made everything on her own, which left me speechless. What an amazing job she did, and what an amazing wedding! Congratulations, Carly and Shane!

Whistler weddings – Matt and Courtney

Saturday, September 24th, 2011

Matt and Courtney were married at a beautiful private property on Alpha Lake, Whistler and as a Whistler Wedding Photographer I had the privilege of photographing their special day. We started at the private residency, where the boys were getting ready. We laughed a lot and got some really nice photos. It was really hard to get anything formal as these guys just had a blast and were fun to work with. After photographing all of the boys and getting them out into the fresh for a group session, I left the boys and drove over to photograph Courtney’s final preparations. Courtney is naturally very beautiful and was an absolute joy to photograph. Once in her dress, we headed from Nita Lake Lodge to a stunning private property for the ceremony. After the ceremony we stayed at the private property to take family and wedding couple photos. The location was the best a photographer can ask for. We’ve got the privacy on a little island, beautiful bridge, lake, dock, rocky shore. After our photo session we headed back to one of my favourite spots in Whistler – Nita Lake Lodge for a wonderful reception.

Whistler wedding – Jennifer and Daniel

Friday, September 16th, 2011

As a Whistler wedding photographer, I had the pleasure of photographing Jennifer and Daniel’s wedding at Telus Conference Centre in Whistler. After photographing preparations at Pan Pacific Hotel, we walked through Whistler village to Conference Centre for the ceremony and reception later on that evening. After a beautiful ceremony we drove to a couple of their favourite spots – Rainbow park and Nita Lake Lodge to get some wedding couple photos.

Whistler weddings – Stacey and Matt

Another beautiful day, another beautiful setting. Stacey and Matt got married at the Hilton Hotel in Whistler. We drove to Rainbow park for a brief photo session before the session and got some great images. Here are some of my favourites.

Whistler Weddings – Melissa and Steve

Sunday, June 12th, 2011

After a week of rain, the sun came out for Melissa and Steve’s big day! I was thrilled when I’ve heard about their wedding. I have been shooting Melissa’s family for a few years now. Last it it was her brother’s wedding at the same park as she was getting married today. I remember on my first family photo shoot when she brought her new boyfriend Steve like yesterday. A few years later, they are here getting married! These guys are always fun to work with, always laughing. Interesting note: The Vancouver Canucks are in the playoff finals and the wedding was scheduled during one of their games. These guys brought laptop to a restaurant so they can watch it during their dinner. How cool is that?

Wedding at Nita Lake Lodge in Whistler

Sunday, December 26th, 2010

Another beautiful wedding at Nita Lake Lodge in Whistler. Brenda and Jason from Vancouver came to Whistler hoping to have a white wedding. We were lucky, the snow was falling down on their special day and we had a great time during the photo shoot. Congratulations Jason and Brenda!

Wedding at Nita Lake Lodge in Whistler.

Thursday, December 16th, 2010

First winter wedding of this season! I was excited as the wedding couple. Shauna and Sean could not choose a better location for their wedding. Nita Lake Lodge is one of my favourite, located in Creekside and away from the main village, it provides beautiful settings for photos and the privacy as well. I had a great time with Shauna and Sean. Shauna is one of those spontaneous and always smiling brides, who is just having a great time.  After a nice ceremony and a toast we headed out to the cold for couple’s portraits.

Wedding at Rebagliati park – Ryan and Jennifer.

Saturday, September 11th, 2010

What a beautiful day it was. The wedding couple was super easy to work with, weather was working for us as well and the location was just awesome to shoot at. I  have never shot a wedding at the Rebagliati park, however I have shot Ryan’s family portraits there before. It was one of those weekends with the big crowds of people everywhere. A huge race was going on and the village was buzzing with tons of visitors. Luckily I know a few nice spots in the village, where I can almost guarantee  we won’t see anybody or just a few locals passing by.  We finished at the Quattro restaurant, where the couple and their closest family had a  private dinner. Cheers to Ryan and Jenn!

Wedding in Whistler – Brooke and Andrew.

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Last Thursday I had a privilege of shooting Brooke and Andrew’s wedding. We started with a quick 20 min couple session at Rainbow park in Whistler before heading out to Edgewater Lodge for the ceremony.  Looking back I am so happy we squeezed in that mini session at the Rainbow, as those are my favourite images from the whole photo shoot. Edgewater is another good location – great views and very private setting, which gave us an opportunity to explore for different angles and feel relaxed during the whole shoot.  Congrats Brooke and Andrew!

Peak to Peak Wedding photoshoot

Friday, August 6th, 2010

It was one of those last minute bookings. Our marketing guru calls me if I can shoot a wedding in a couple of days. 2 hours.. the ceremony is in the peak to peak gondola and then you can take some pictures on the way down. So here I am thinking.. hmm 2 hours photoshoot – 1 hour in the gondolas with 24 other people. Quite a challenge but I like that. The whole wedding in the Peak to Peak was actually pretty cool, better than I thought. We had a few minutes to spare on the other side so we took a few scenic photos on Blackcomb with tons of snow around which was a challenge for most of the wedding guests. Then quick ride back to Whistler mountain and taking Whistler gondola down. The portraits photos with the brick wall in the background are taken just in front of the Roundhouse and the “artsy” shot of the wedding ring and bride’s shoes is taken in old Whistler gondola on the way down.
