The new sign for PHAT Wednesday races is ready and I am happy to see that Whistler Blackcomb used my photos to create this one.
NUTREND is the Czech leading producer of nutrition and dietary supplements not only for sportsmen but also for everyone who prefers an active life-style. They recently used couple of my photos for their new catalogues.
Couple weeks ago, we were looking for new spots to photograph. As a Whistler adventure photographer, I love those kind of days when you go up with your skier and he shows you his spots and the big lines we could photograph. Then we just wait for perfect day to go back. Here is a quick behind the scene photo collage from our scouting. Skier: Steve Storey
January is usually slow month for business. On other side, I get to shoot more fun stuff with my friends. Chris and I went for a sled ride to shoot and scout a few spots on Cougar Mountain in Whistler.
Steve Storey and I teamed up again for another biking photo shoot before the season ends. Last time we have done a whole day shoot together, it was snowing and cold and pretty much we’ve had the same conditions last weekend. I took a little break from shooting biking and I felt it right away. Feeling rusty at the beginning, I was struggling to find the unique angles, however as the day progressed we both got into a groove and captured some pretty cool stuff. Here is a quick photo collage from behind the scenes.
I can’t believe it’s only been 8 days since we were riding bikes in Whistler bike park in T-shirts! What an awesome season it was! I’ve got fully addicted to DH and met so many great people along the way. Thank you for the best season ever. Can’t wait for the next one to begin already!
The whole summer I wanted to do a shoot with the girls and finally the day before closing we made it happen. The girls in Whistler can schred! Here is one of them: Diana Brucculieri
Wow! Something I dreamt about for 4 years actually happened. As a mountain biking photographer I was honoured to be invited to participate in Deep Summer Photo Challenge during the Crankworx festival in Whistler. The contest is not about your career long body of work. It’s about what you can produce in 3 days of shooting anywhere in the Whistler Mountain Bike Park or valley. My team and I were going against 5 other photographers.. Scott Markewitz, Reuben Krabbe, Ian Hylands, Jon Hayward and Mike Zinger. It’s hard to describe what you going through during a competition like this. I thought I would be more stressed out and nervous, instead we laughed, had fun but worked really hard. My team was the best that could happen to me. Amazing people, who where there for me day and night. What a support! So thank you Steve Storey, Mike Gamble, Ollie Jones, Ben Shaw, Fiona Sutton, Finn Finestone, Tom Thomson and my friends!
We all know the girls in Whistler can rip. Last weekend you could witness a proof of that. 240 women hit the trails in the park and the valley for Charlie’s Angels race. Huge THANKS goes to Tony Horn and Worca for making this event happen!
“Ollie Jones was here..” – anytime I look at those dirt pics, that what comes to my mind. This kid (sorry, Ollie) is just freaking awesome, so passionate about biking and so fun to be around. As a mountain biking photographer I am always thankful to cross a path with people like him. You’ll see more of him in my future posts for sure!
What an amazing feeling it was to see Julia Murray (ski cross racer) handing off the torch to Steve Podborski. Steve then skied down to the base of Whistler mountain with an Olympic Torch. For those who don’t know Steve, he is a World Cup Champion and Crazy Canuck. It was an unbelievable atmosphere in the village, tousands of people watching and having fun. Let’s the Games begin! Slovakia I am cheering for you!
